Women’s Cancer Resource Center (Oakland) – Marketing Plan
Supports women with all types of cancer to improve their quality of life through education, supportive services and practical assistance.
Project Description:
WCRC provides direct services to help women with cancer overcome barriers to initiating and sustaining treatment. Services include: information and referral, support groups, in-home emotional and practical support, psychotherapy, emergency financial support, wellness workshops, and navigation through an often complex and overwhelming health care system.
As the external environment for health care evolves, WCRC would like to reassess how they are positioned and marketed to their key stakeholders: clients, social workers, funders, public officials, medical providers, and hospital executives in Alameda county. In the past, marketing efforts have been fragmented and focused on individual programs. WCRC would like HBS CP’s support in developing a detailed marketing plan:
- Crafting the right positioning and message for WCRC
- Tailoring the message to gain traction with different audiences (clients, funders, hospitals)
- Determining the best ways to reach different audiences
WCRC would also like the HBS CP team to engage their Board in this dialogue.
