CEO, TMC Community Capital

I grew up in East San Jose Ca, watching my grandmother run a business from our home, selling tamales and anything she could at the local flea market. She worked tirelessly, but despite her dedication, she was never able to realize her dream of opening a brick-and-mortar business. She, like so many entrepreneurs, was shut out of the financial system. That experience shaped my belief that financial systems should work for everyone, not just a select few.

As CEO of TMC Community Capital, I am committed to breaking down those barriers. We are building a financial system that is inclusive, accessible, and designed for the small businesses that fuel our communities. By 2027, we will have provided 2,500 loans, impacting over 21,000 lives and proving that when small businesses succeed, entire communities rise.

We are not just providing capital. We are building technology in a new way, one that speaks the language of entrepreneurs and revolutionizes access to funding. Our goal is to make financing simple, fast, and designed for real business owners, not just those who fit a narrow mold. This work is personal to me, and I know we are just getting started.
