PROJECTS

The mission of HBS Community Partners is to empower alumni to use their business management skills for positive social impact. This section shows the Brainstorm and Consulting opportunities currently available.

We update this page as the list of new opportunities arise, so please back regularly for the latest needs. If you are aware of a community organization who could use immediate help leveraging alumni skills, please email Juan Carlos Velten.

Volunteer Opportunities

Brainstorming Sessions

To continue to serve our mission of providing alumni opportunities to create positive social impact for the Summer and Fall of 2022, HBS Community Partners of Northern California is pleased to share a pilot partnership with Knowledge Impact Network (KIN).

Knowledge Impact Network (KIN) is a global NGO that unites leaders and social entrepreneurs to share knowledge that scale social impact.  Led by the former Community Partners Executive Director, Elaine MacDonald, KIN offers curated opportunities for purpose-driven leaders from a variety of networks (such as YPO and HBS alumni) to share their skills, insights and connections to unlock the potential of social ventures.

KIN facilitates knowledge exchange through platforms such as 90-minute Catalyze Sessions (similar to Community Partners’ brainstorming sessions) and Deep Dive Projects (similar to Community Partners’ Consulting Projects.)  Social ventures served may have a national or global focus, and their missions must involve supporting core human needs (food, water, shelter, or health), making education more accessible, expanding economic opportunity for all, or mitigating climate risk.

For more information, go to www.knowledgeimpactnetwork.org or contact info@knowledgeimpactnetwork.org.
